Trolley Wisdom
Trolley Wisdom: from trolleys in the wild
About the author
Felicity Ballard is a resident of the Geelong region, a screenwriter and storyteller. This is her first published coffee-table book. An expert in perambulation and pondering, Felicity has a knack for noticing the curious details others might walk past. She lives in her little fixer-upper house that she’s grateful is within walking distance of everything. Felicity is currently working on her next book idea and hopes it too is a little quirky.

About the book
Over the past few years, since moving from the country to a home in the heart of the city, I’ve wandered the streets and laneways of Geelong with a camera in hand, re-learning a city I hadn’t lived in since my childhood.

Along the way, I kept encountering the same residents: the humble trolleys. Curious, unhurried, and somehow wise, they appeared to know the city better than most. Resting in quiet corners, outside shops, or strolling through parks, they witness the everyday life of our town.

This little book is a record of those encounters with each photograph capturing a fragment of city life and a moment of their wisdom.
