About the author

Felicity Ballard is a resident of the Geelong region, a screenwriter and storyteller. This is her first published coffee-table book. An expert in perambulation, Felicity has a knack for noticing the curious details others might walk past. She lives in her fixer-upper house that she’s grateful is within walking distance of everything. Felicity is currently working on her next book idea and hopes it too will be a little quirky.

About the book

Over the past few years, since moving from the country to a home in the heart of the city, Felicity has wandered the streets and laneways of Geelong with camera in hand, re-learning a city she hadn’t lived in since childhood.

Along the way, Felicity kept encountering the same residents: the humble trolleys. Unhurried and somehow wise, they appeared to know the city better than most. Resting in quiet corners or rolling through parks, they witness the everyday life of their town.

This book is a record of those encounters, with each candid photograph capturing a fragment of city life and a moment of their wisdom.
